I bought a pair of original black leather 1460 DMs before I went to University in 1990. I finally had to throw them out last year after 18 years of hard service.
So far this latest pair have lived upto expectations - comfortable from day one - no blisters and the nappa leather certainly adds to the comfort.
If they last half as long I'll be delighted.

I was unsure about ordering the correct size of boot not being able to try them on first! Not since 1976 had I worn Doc Marten's. No worries boots fitted like gloves, wore them all day and still comfortable but supple with plenty of ankle and calf support, highly recommended! They probably won't need breaking in, i.e. no blisters!!

HAVE WORN THESE KIND OF BOOTS FOR YEARS,TAKES SOME TIME TO BREAK IN THOUGH AROUND THE ANKLE IS WHERE IT WILL PINCH. WIDE FITTING AND DURABLE WILL HAVE THESE FOR YEARS TO COME.

DM's - I used to wear them all the time, still do, technically.
Since 2003, all Dr Martens boots and footwear have been made outwith the UK in either China or Thailand - all pre 2003 shoes/boots were marked 'Made in England'.
In 2007 their Vintage line began production once again in England on a small scale, but that's all.
I now purchase Solovair boots, these are made by NPS Shoes Wellingborough, Northamptonshire where they used to make the AirWair suspension soles under licence.
They're hard to find but British made and worth it. Try William Lennon Co, about the cheapest you'll find them.

been wearing doc martin boots for years so had great expectarions and was not dissapointed grat boots.
